WWE Hall Of Fame announcer Jim Ross recently appeared on the 1400-AM The Ref radio show out of Norman, Oklahoma on Thursday, discussing a number of topics.
A caller asked JR who the most influential person was in his life, outside of anyone in his family. Ross noted that it would have to be his old Mid South Wrestling boss Bill Watts. JR noted that Watts was a brilliant wrestling mind and talked about how he was one of his first mentors.
Another caller spoke about how guys like Damien Sandow and Johnny Curtis have natural charisma on television. He asked how often JR comes across talent with these characteristics. Ross noted that charisma is something that can't be taught. He said several current NXT wrestlers have good personalities, and that's one of the key things they look for in WWE.
JR also talked about the NFL, Brett Farve, Twitter, the Oklahoma Sooners and a variety of other topics. Check out the complete interview on the official radio website at SportsTalk1400.com.
