Thanks to James Girouard and the Wrestling Observer for the following WWE Smackdown house show results from the 8/25 show in Sioux Falls, SD.
Match Results:
1. Brodius Clay b. Damien Sandow with the big splash. Short, nothing match – mostly comedy. Brodius brought in kids to dance with Naomi and Cameron after the match.
2. Usos b. Michael McGillicutty & Johnny Curtis. Formula tag-team affair. One of the Usos with the superfly splash off the top for the win.
3. Ryback b. Jinder Mahal. I missed most of the match, but it sounded like Ryback got some pretty large "Feed Me More" chants.
4. Naomi b. Natalya with a schoolgirl after Cameron distracted Natalya. Naomi replaced Kaitlyn, who was said to have had travel problems. This was seriously one of the best WWE women's matches I've seen all year. Naomi did some really good athletic stuff, including a rana and a terrific looking dropkick, while Natalya did a great job of holding the match together.
5. Kane b. Daniel Bryan in a streefight with a chokeslam through a table. Fans chose this stipulation over 2-out-of-3 falls – go figure. Bryan got tremendous heel heat.
6. Sin Cara b. Cody Rhodes with a small package when Rhodes got preoccupied with Sin Cara's mask. Rhodes was apparently passing out caricatures of Sin Cara to the audience, but I'm not sure anyone really understood what was going on.
7. Randy Orton b. Dolph Ziggler with the RKO. Somewhat disappointing match with a LOT of stalling, although the last five minutes were excellent. Orton got the biggest face pop of the night by far.
8. Sheamus b. Alberto Del Rio (w/Ricardo Rodriguez) in a last-man standing match, when Del Rio couldn't answer the ten count after getting hit with the brogue kick. Lots of weapons in this one, including a bunch of kendo stick shots. Not quite a PPV-quality match, but still very good.
After the main event, Ziggler attacked Sheamus and gave him the rocker dropper on the MITB briefcase, but before Dolph could cash in the title shot he got brogue kicked.
Notes:
Audience was predominantly kids, as you'd expect. .
