Daniel Bryan comes out and tells the fans to stop screaming 'YES!' and he asks if they think he is nothing more than a catchphrase. He says he should be in a title match at Summerslam, but he is dealing with his unreasonable ex-fiance who called him mentally unstable. Bryan says he deserves more than a match with Kane, and he deserves better than to be harrassed by the fans and AJ. Kane comes to the ring and Bryan looks like he's ready to fight, but AJ interrupts them and she tells Bryan to stay put. She says Booker invited her as a special guest tonight, and they first met on Smackdown but she doesn't like what she is seeing right now.
AJ says she made a Summerslam match between the two because they are great athletes, and she can't have them attacking the fans, or each other. AJ says she hasn't talked to Kane since she became GM, but it's good to see him and she appreciates how kind he has been to her. She turns to Bryan and says his jealousy of Kane shouldn't get in the way, and he hasn't ever pinned Kane one-on-one but it shouldn't anger him. AJ says Bryan should prove he's a good sport by shaking Kane's hand, and Bryan says no, but AJ insists and Bryan extends his hand. Kane uppercuts him and sends him into the corner, then he goes for a chokeslam but Bryan counters with a NO Lock attempt. Kane brakes the hold and kicks him in the head, then Bryan runs through the crowd as AJ laughs on the stage and says that was great.
Teddy Long is hanging out with Booker T backstage when Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks walk in and say they want an opportunity to prove themselves. Booker says they are talented, but Ryback beat them both of RAW and he is in charge now, so he's only looking for top tier talent. Reks says he doesn't want to go back to his old job, and Hawkins says it might not be that bad compared to this, then Booker asks them to leave his office.
