Rumored WWE Signee Confirmed For 8/3 ROH TV Tapings

Ring of Honor

The following is from ROHWrestling.com:

New Matches Set For Baltimore!

The TV Title will be up for grabs & The Queen is in Action!

ROH returns to Baltimore, MD & The Du Burns Arena on Friday night August 3rd of another set of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV Tapings and already announced are a World Title match between champion Kevin Steen & challenger Homicide, the opening round of the World Tag Title tournament, and Kyle O’Reilly taking on Tony Kozina. Now ROH officials have signed on three new matches, including a TV Title challenge, and added a special stipulation to a fourth.

ROH World TV Champion Adam Cole defends against “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin

Adam Cole captured the TV Title on June 29th when he brought Roderick Strong’s 90 day reign to an end in a match that will air in an upcoming episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV. Now, on 8/3, Cole will make his first defense of the championship against a man who has certainly had his number in their head-to-head meetings: “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin. Most recently defeating Cole at “Border Wars”, Elgin holds several other wins over Cole in the last several years as they’ve been fighting up the ranks of ROH. Will Elgin continue his dominance of the new TV Camp or will August 3rd be the night Cole breaks his “unbreakable” curse?

“The Queen of Wrestling” Sara Del Rey vs. Princess Mia Yim

You can call this one a battle of wrestling royalty as the most dominant female to ever step into an ROH ring returns to action for the first time in awhile to battle one of the most promising women’s wrestlers competing today. Sara Del Rey took on all comers for years, putting down the likes of Amazing Kong, Daizee Haze, & Mschif just to name a few but it has been a bit since the ROH faithful last saw her compete. In that time Del Rey has only trained harder, traveling the world to face the best competition be it man or woman, and has only gotten better. Mia has seen very little in-ring action since debuting in ROH with The Embassy but that fact is that she too is increasingly world traveled, having spent a great deal of time in Japan in the last year, and fighting around the United States also against both men & women alike. The Princess will have to pull out every trick she has in her bag to go toe-to-toe with The Queen, but a victory in Baltimore would announce to the world that Mia Yim has arrived.

QT Marshall vs. Tadarius Thomas

These two men recently teamed up to face Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander in tag team competition and looked quite impressive in defeat. The same can also be said for Tadarius’ match against Kyle O’Reilly that recently went down at “Brew City Beatdown” in Milwaukee. Now these two men looking to earn a full-time slot in Ring of Honor will go mano y mano in Baltimore!

Also, it was announced in the July 19th Newswire that 6 Man Mayhem would return in Baltimore and ROH officials have now also determined the winner of that bout will challenge for the ROH World TV title on 9/15 when we return to Chicago Ridge for “Death Before Dishonor X”!

Tickets for August 3rd return to Baltimore are available right here in the ROH Store!!!
