WWE Over The Limit Results (5/20) – New IC Champion, Punk vs Bryan, Does John Laurinaitis Survive?

Bryan sits up and they both slap each other in the face a few times, then Bryan makes it to the ropes and they trade a few more near falls. Bryan knocks Punk out with a hard kick to the head, then he pulls his kneepad down and strikes Punk before taking him up to the top turnbuckle. Punk shoves him back and Bryan lands on the ropes, then Punk hits a springboard clothesline for another near fall. Punk and Bryan trade chops and headbutts before Punk goes for a GTS, then Bryan counters with a backslide and goes for the YES! Lock.

Punk blocks it and slingshots him out to the apron, then Bryan skins the cat and comes back in but Punk kicks him in the side of the head. He gets frustrated after a near fall, but Punk puts him in a front facelock and bodyslams him before going back up top. Punk hits a top rope elbow drop but hurts his ribs, then he rolls over and makes a cover but Bryan kicks out. Punk lifts him up but Bryan knees him in the ribs, then he repeatedly knees him in the ribs until the referee pulls him away.

Bryan misses a running dropkick and put connects with a running knee shot, and he goes for a bulldog but Bryan counters with the YES! Lock. Punk holds on and doesn’t tap, so Bryan rolls back with him in the hold and tries to get a pin, but the ref counts Bryan’s shoulders down and declares Punk the winner as he taps out. Bryan argues with the referee about the decision, then we see a replay of the pin, and Punk tapped out after the ref called for the bell. Punk celebrates in the entry way as Bryan continues to scream in the ring and says he should have won.
