WWE Smackdown Results (3/9) – “Mr Excitement” Runs SD!, US Title Cage Match, Six Man Tag Main Event

John Laurinaitis is shown in his office with David Otunga, and Otunga tells him he should calm down because the board of directors are watching him. Teddy Long enters his office and says they should put their differences aside because he doesn't want to see Aksana face Kane tonight. John says Teddy had no problem shoving him on Monday, then Teddy asks him to stop it but John says he wants him to say please. Teddy says he is sincere, but John says it is not good enough and he wants to settle things in the ring with him, and if Teddy wins Aksana will face Kane. Teddy looks confused, but John says that is how he does things, then he calls him playa and watches Teddy leave the room.

Drew McIntyre comes to the ring in his wrestling gear and says he did get fired by Teddy, but John Laurinaitis brought him back because John knew he was the future. Drew says he will face a mystery opponent to get his job back, then says he will wait and see who John picked and looks miserable when Great Khali walks out. David Otunga comes out and tells the referee to stop, then he tells Khali to get out of the ring and introduces Hornswoggle as his real opponent.

Drew McIntyre vs Hornswoggle

Drew shoves Hornswoggle on the mat then bodyslams him, and he makes a cover but pulls him up and does it again before hitting a backbreaker. The referee calls for the bell and Lillian Garcia announces that Hornswoggle is unable to continue, so Drew is the winner of the match. Drew celebrates a bit before Khali comes in and chops him, then Khali checks on Hornswoggle while Drew crawls away.
