Impact Wrestling Results (1/12) – Storm/Angle For Next Title Shot, Sting Makes Title Rematch w/ Roode/Hardy

Bully Ray is backstage talking about how he is trending on Twitter after his match, but all Bobby Roode wants to talk about is how Sting is screwing him over. Ray keeps bringing up Twitter and Roode looks annoyed, but says he can't believe he is defending his title again and asks if Ray has his back. He says he has it covered, and he gets a title shot if Roode retains his title, but Roode rolls his eyes and sarcastically tells Ray he will get the next title shot after he beats Jeff Hardy.

James Storm comes to the ring and says things have been sketchy, but he is the guy to call someone out and say things to their face so he wants Kurt Angle to come out now. Kurt's music plays and he walks down the ramp and looks surprised, but Storm tells him to shut up and listen then slaps the mic out of Kurt's hand. Storm says Kurt is what his daughter would call a cheater, and Kurt says Storm didn't beat him twice, but the record books say otherwise. He says he beat Kurt for the title and did it in record time, so he wants to set another record by kicking Kurt so hard that he poops out his teeth.

Kurt says tonight is his night off and he just came to see friends, but there is no way in hell that Storm is getting a rematch because he is moving on to bigger things. Sting comes out and says he needs to mention something else first, and says if Bobby Roode gets intentionally disqualified tonight he will lose his title. He tells Kurt that he will get a title match soon, but they split victories at the last two pay per views so they are going to have a rubber match. Sting says the winner gets the next title shot and Angle says he isn't ready or dressed to compete, but Sting says he better go get ready because the bell rings after the commercial and the clock is ticking.
