Johnny Stamboli, Rodney Mack, Jazz and Rico have all been released by WWE. This takes the total number of talent cuts this week to ten, with Billy Gunn, A-Train, Test, Nidia, Gail Kim and Chuck Palumbo all cut earlier this week. Expect at least two more cuts to be announced later today.
All the cuts so far have been money saving exercises with no one being released due to bad behaviour.
Billy Gunn was seeking help with a drug addiction and was off the road but from what I have been told, he would have been cut regardless. Gunn was backstage at TNA’s TV tapings earlier this week as he lives in the immediate area.
Test was also off the road due to his injured neck which is keeping him out of the ring for at least six months. Test has been told that WWE will take a look at him when he has recovered from his injury. He gave them a ‘no thanks’ as a response.
The rest all apparently relate to money saving issues.
