HBK/Angle @ WMania, Randy Orton Feeling The Pressure & More

  • Shawn Michaels recently conducted a pretty interesting interview with IGN and among the topics discussed are rumors of HBK facing Angle at WrestleMania and which Smackdown superstars he’d like to wrestle. On the Kurt Angle rumor, Michaels says:

“I think people would like to see Kurt Angle and myself get in there and perform with one another. I think he’s an amazing athlete, a talented wrestler, and it’s a match people probably don’t think that they’re going to see. Again, I’m all about new challenges and climbing the mountains I’ve never climbed before, as I know he is, and it’s something that I think we can bring to a big show that people will enjoy.”

HBK also talks about similarities between himself & Marty Jannety, the reaction he gets in Canada and many other topics. It’s a very good read and you can check it out here.

  • In a recent interview with the Fresno Bee, Randy Orton has admitted he is starting to feel the pressure of being a main event player on Raw. “Everything was going on in my head,” Orton says about the night he defeated Chris Benoit to become champion. “I never realized it until then that that was as accomplishment greater than my dad, my uncle or my grandfather ever had, and they were in the business 10 times longer than me.”
  • Christopher Nowinski has been out of action for over a year now with post-concussion syndrome and had the following to say on his future:

“I don’t know if I’ll ever return to the squared circle, I still have a lot of trouble doing intense workouts, and I still feel terrible a lot of the time. I did have the time of my life doing Smackdown Your Vote!, although if I want to maintain my independent political correspondent status, I can’t tell you who I voted for.”
