Live News & Notes From Royal Rumble & What Happened After

Thanks to Dennis Amith for sending this in:

Hi everyone,

Just got back from watching WWE Royal Rumble live in Fresno several hours ago. This being the first pay-per-view of WWE in Fresno, the place was packed and people were really into it! Of course, with a large Latino turnout, Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio were fan favorites, along with Cena and Booker T.

I don’t know how much was shown on pay-per-view on television but here’s a few things I will comment on quickly.

EDGE vs. HBK – Not sure if we wanted to see that much of HBK but when Edge pulled on his trousers to win, many of us saw HBK’s ass. While they switched to the segment, HBK was still pissed and just stood out there for a little while on the center of the ring and left with the crowd cheering for him. Good match!

UNDERTAKER vs. HEIDENREICH – The audience kept screaming you’re gay to Heidenreich because of the video bit between him and Snitzky. Crowd went crazy when Kane came out of the casket. Cool match!

JBL vs. KURT ANGLE vs. BIG SHOW – This was an awesome match but the crowd went wild by what looked like Big Show doing a spear or just ramming JBL into the rail guard and taking it down. That was awesome! Big Show stayed in the center ring pissed off when the scene shifted backstage but was able to get the fans screaming their support for him in the end.

TRIPLE HHH vs. RANDY ORTON – For me, this went a bit slow! And I was a bit shocked to see that the majority of the audience were loudly booing Orton and really backing Triple HHH. Orton was laying face down on the middle of the ring for a LOOOONG time. Not sure if he was really hurt when TRIPLE HHH worked on his knee but he was down for a long time. While I was watching the screen, they didn’t show this footage but he couldn’t get up. Many people from the back came to check on him and he was not getting up. Once he was able to get out of the ring, he needed the help of two ref’s to help him walk the ramp. Crowd cheered that he was o.k. and didn’t need the stretcher but it appeared he was hurt! His injury and him on the mat lasted pretty long and many people were tending to him unlike the other injuries last night.

ROYAL RUMBLE – Not sure if it showed how much the crowd really loved Eddie and Rey but everytime they were about to be eliminated, the crowd was booing like crazy. We saw that Paul London getting hit by Snitzky and he looked hurt but truthfully, it looked like Tough Engouh’s Puder was the one who really got hurt. He took the longest to get up and head back. He literally got schooled by the veterans and he didn’t look so good at all.

It looked like many people got hurt on Royal Rumble. I don’t know how many times I saw that stretcher out there.

As for McMahon, his foot got caught on the side panel and felll and while they were showing Cena and Batista, ref’s and people were going up to him and see if he’s ok. Vince had his hands moving and was screaming something and looked very pissed off. He couldn’t get up. When he got out of the ring, he was standing, looks like he could walk but people were around him fearing for the big boss if he’s hurt or not.

After the end of Royal Rumble and they ended the show, what we saw when it ended…

Cena comes up on the ring while Batista is celebrating, stares him down in the face, says a few words and shakes his hand. They play Cena’s theme song and he leaves. Batista’s theme song comes up and he celebrates some more and it ends.
