The Real Story Regarding RAW Stars Attacked In UK

Thanks to Graham Emery for sending this in:

I just read the Sun report of the incident in the paper, and boy they like to make things a whole lot bigger than they actually are. There was no shirts, or turned over tables, maybe a few smashed glasses and Dave Batista was nowhere that I could see, although he was down in the bar after the event (so that could make him have been there.) I just think I should remind you that the Sun pay a lot of money to “sources” for stories, so just think of it that way.

I’ve just spoken to a hotel executive about the incident. He said that he was doing the rounds today to apologise to all the wrestling fans still staying in the hotel about the incident as he said a few fans were really angry about it (some even demanding a refund.)

I asked him what he knew about the situation and he told me that some of the kickboxing fans had had too much to drink and were staying at the hotel. They then began to make remarks towards the wrestlers and the kickboxing champion, Kash Gill, came in to try and sort things out.

This is where the Sun article gets it wrong according to this hotel exec, he said that Kash was not touched, or if he was he was fine after the incident. He re-iterated to me that the police were not called to the scene and that nobody was seriously hurt, to which he joked, the only thing that was hurt is the hotel bar, which is now missing a couple of glasses.

The executive also said to me that nothing was destroyed outside the building either.

When I left through the lobby earlier today, you wouldn’t have believed there was any sort of fight there.
