WWE RAW Opener:
RAW opened up with footage from last week’s Gold Rush Tournament with Kane advancing over Christian, Shawn Michaels defeating Shelton Benjamin, Edge going over Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit defeating Triple H with help from Batista.
In the arena:
No fireworks or opening video this week as we go straight to the arena as the music of the Game is playing as Triple H made his way to the ring. Triple H did not look pleased at all as he made his way to the ring. The fans chanted “you tapped out!” at the former World Champion and he left the ring and got in the face of some fans at ringside. Triple H got on the mic and said the match that took place last week doesn’t matter because the tournament itself is bogus. Triple H said he should be the World Champion; he did what he said he was going to do. He Pedigreed Batista at Backlash but he got screwed, and the rematch should be his but Bischoff is afraid to give him it. The music of Batista then hit in the arena as he came down in a white suit as the World Heavyweight Champion. Batista got in the ring and took a mic and removed his glasses. Batista said that he is sorry, he hates to interrupt him but he wants to face his fears since he is so afraid of Triple H. Batista asked what is it he is afraid of again? He faced him twice and beat him twice. Last week, he had a chance to get another title shot but you tapped out! Batista asked what Triple H wants from him. Batista said he had his rematch and lost in the first round of the tournament. Batista said maybe he isn’t good enough to face him. Triple H took off his jacket and was seething with anger, but then calmed down a bit. The fans then chanted “you tapped out!” some more and Batista smiled. Triple H said that’s funny, very amusing, he’s not good enough.
Triple H said that title means nothing until he goes through Triple H. He’s not talking about a fluke at WrestleMania, he is talking about going through him, which he has not done. Whether Batista realises or not, Batista needs Triple H a whole lot more than he needs Batista. Triple H said he is the measuring stick, and he will justify what Batista thinks he has become. Triple H said he defines who Batista is, so if Batista thinks he is going to mess with Triple H, it’s never going to be screw Triple H, it’s going to be screw you! Triple H said he will walk out of the door if Batista thinks he can mess with him. Don’t think he’ll do it? He’d do it in a second. Triple H said he will sit on the couch in his mansion and watch Batista fail, and then when he’s done, the whole world will come crawling back to Triple H, begging for him to come back. Triple H said screw Batista, and then dropped the mic and walked up the aisle. Batista told Triple H to wait a minute, he’s taking his ball and going home? Well let him be the first to say don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. The only thing Triple H defines is a sore loser. Batista said he doesn’t need him; he’s already beaten him. Triple H needs to face the fact that Batista is the World Champion. So Triple H? You’re screwed! Triple H continued on his way as Batista celebrated in the ring.
Backstage:
Triple H was shown leaving backstage with Ric Flair trying to talk him out of it. Triple H told Ric to get in the car, and Flair said he can’t do that. Triple H then got in the limo and it drove off.

He asked Lilian to announce the winner of the match one more time. Viscera said when she says his name, it really turns him on. He asked if she wants some of his nachos. Viscera held one in his mouth and she took it. He told her to eat it real good because if she likes the appetizer, she will love the main course.
Backstage:
Lita was backstage with Kane and she was laughing at what Viscera did. Kane said he has been thinking about him and Lita, and he said it’s been nine months since they were married. Kane said on the night they were married, she said she hoped that Kane rotted in hell. Kane said now look at them, Trish is gone and soon he will be World Champion. Lita said that’s right, because tonight, he is going to beat Chris Benoit and go onto the finals and face Batista. Kane said no one will stand in his way, because he always gets what he wants. They laughed and then Kane grabbed her and said that’s what makes them such a cute couple. Weird.
