Off Air Notes From Judgment Day Last Night

Thanks to reader Eric Grant for this:

Nothing really happened before the PPV- it started about 20 minutes later than posted on the ticket… I think there were more signs confiscated than allowed in. A guy next to me had a “Whizzinator 3:16” sign that the let in- somehow he got down to row 4 next to the ring and flashed it during the Eddie/Rey match and no more than a minute later the Whizzinator was destroyed. No boring chants at all. Carlito got good heat for bringing up Moss. Cruiserweight match was fairly soft, crowd didn’t seem interested. Angle-Booker T match was prolly the 2nd best of the night- Funny thing, after Angle got nutted they couldn’t get the handcuffs off for a good 5 minutes. Heidenrich/Jordan match was w e a k, surprisingly everyone was behind John, even more so after he got squashed. Eddie/Rey match was good, it seemed like Rey missed a few spots at the end, but the crowd was excited cause they know the jbl/cena match was next. Cena must have cut himself deep after the chair shot cause he had blood everywhere, had to be tough to see. The crowd was stunned at the weak ending. All of a sudden he takes off the pipe, and walks over- next thing you hear is “okay, okay- I quit” and everyone looks at each other like- that’s IT? it was a very weak ending, especially since JBL was tearing Cena apart early. Everyone knew Cena was gonna put JBL through the set and were just waiting for it to happen. Nothing happened after he walked around the ring- no freestyle or anything, i figured at least for a PPV he’d have some hot shit, but no- so that was disappointing… full arena, not very many open seats. out of 5 i give it a 2.
