What You Won’t See On WWE SmackDown! Thursday

Thanks to Ryan Murray for the following:

It was disappointing to see the crowd reaction to the cruiserweight bout. They were dead. Expect any cheering to be canned.

Holly/Haas vs. MNM was a great match, with a comedic bit about halfway through, where Hardcore Holly chased everyone out of the ring and then chased them around and through the ring. After the chairshot to Holly, Haas grabbed the chair, and chased MNM out of the ring.

Matt Morgan was at ringside for Carlito and Big Show, but was banned from ringside halfway through the match. Afterwards, he ran out, cleared off the announce table. and gave Show a HUGE F5 through the table. They sold it like crazy, too. Took like 5 minutes for Show to get up and be “helped” to the back.

I sincerely doubt the cameras caught just HOW big Cena’s pop was. Absolutely HUGE. I haven’t seen anyone this over since Stone Cold.

Kurt Angle never explicitly mentioned the reason WHY he left the ECW show. However, it was implied to those of us who knew. After that, he had a staredown with Tazz (Tazz pulled off the headset, and I swear we expected him to go deck Kurt.

The Battle Royale alone is a reason to watch Smackdown! this week. At the beginning, when Rey ran out, Eddie ran out afterwards and laid him out with a chairshot. Rey was helped to the back, and when the match started, Eddie lingered outside the ring till about half the people were eliminated. He jumped in, and within a minute, Rey ran in and tossed him. Rey than made a spectacular dive over the top rope and started beating Eddie. It took 3 refs and some agents (Fit Finlay! Hope they show him on tv) to separate the two. Rey then got back in. The finish between Rey and Angle was spectacular…more false finishes than I can ever remember in a battle royale.

About half the upper deck was tarped off, only on the hard camera side for the most part. Attendance easily came close to 10,000 (Mostly screaming kids under 12…the Cena factor came into play.)
