— More details are now known on the incident that happened with the barbed wire at the Hardcore Homecoming event, thanks to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.
While the ropes were being taken down for the matches, the Pennsylvania state athletic commission objected immediately. The reason why WWE was allowed to do it, was because they did not actually use the barbed wire at all in their match at No Way Out. The barbed wire is now gone, and the crowd was angry to say the least.
The ring crew brought out worked barbed wire, with the sharp parts covered. There’s major heat on Jeremy Borash right now. There are still some details that are cloudy on this right now, especially about when the decision to use barbed wire was made. There should be more details on this, as well as other backstage news from the event, in the near future.
