TNA Problems With CM Punk, Big New Wrestling Federation?

Dave Nelson of The Nelson Corporation and NWA Ohio announced today the formation of the World Wrestling Association based out of Columbus, Ohio and Orlando, Florida. They will be running local shows and have stated that a television deal is forthcoming as well as a PPV. Sid Vicious will be a part of the group as well. Nelson was part of the group that made a bid to buy Panda Energy’s 71% of TNA but were turned down.

TNA originally wanted to have Samoa Joe work against CM Punk on the “Slammiversary” PPV this past Sunday but Punk requested 45 minutes and that wasn’t about to happen.

Tonight “Smackdown” is in Tucson, Arizona for their TV tapings featuring Eddy Guerrero Vs Rey Mysterio along with the next draft pick (and boy, they better even this thing out).
