Phil Lowe sent this one…. Just to let you know, ‘Hogan Knows Best’, which was previously scheduled to debut on VH-1 in the UK this October, will now debut next Wednesday (August 31) at 10.30pm on The Music Factory (Sky channel 448). The Music Factory is owned by Viacom, who also own the VH-1 and MTV channels, and their output in the UK is becoming more and more based on reality TV shows rather than music. VH-1 didn’t give a reason for the change, and said that they’d only just decided to bring it forward and move it to TMF.

Carlos sent this one…. I just wanted to pass along that here in Colorado, UPN won’t be showing SmackDown tonight. They will instead be showing the movie “Uncle Buck”. SmackDown will be shown on Saturday at 7pm.

JAKKS Pacific, Inc., today announced that ‘Day Of Reckoning’ and ‘Smackdown! vs RAW’ have been added to Nintendo’s ‘Players Choice’ collection for the GameCube and Sony’s ‘Greatest Hits’ collection for the PlayStation respectively. Both of the games will retail for a special price of $19.99 each. The games were released last year and both are very popular with WWE gamers. “The $19.99 price point will allow a greater number of wrestling fans the opportunity to play the games while waiting patiently for the much-anticipated follow-ups, WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW 2006 and WWE Day of Reckoning 2, scheduled to release later this year,” said Peter Dille, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for THQ.

Yahoo! Movies has the first exclusive trailer for The Rock’s movie ‘Doom’, based on the popular PC game. The two minute trailer gives you a good indication of how most of the action sequences were shot – just like the actual game. Anything that involves fighting monsters is done in first person, you will only see the weapon on your screen and the inside of the building and not the actual actor behind the weapon. The movie is scheduled for release on October 21st.
