— Supremely talented UK wrestler Roy “Zebra Kid” Bevis this week avoided a second jail sentence when Ipswich Crown Court ruled that he should be spared of jail time, on the grounds he has taken drastic steps to tackle his alcohol problem, even before the court had ordered such measures.
— The Zebra Kid, a high-profile wrestler for many English promotions, and former star of the Wrestling Channel, burst into a pub he was barred from on June 4th of this year, before brandishing a “12 inch Gurkha knife”. He was instead “given a 51-week jail sentence, suspended for two years; put under a supervision order for 18 months, which includes attending an aggression training programme; and told to undertake 180 hours’ community service”.
