At this point, it looks much more likely to have John Cena vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania as opposed to Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan. It may have been worked out prior to the finish of the Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan match, that Hogan would return the favor by allowing John Cena to defeat him cleanly at WrestleMania.
Many suggest that it would take quite a bit more than a large payday for Austin to return to the ring, especially against Hogan. Austin would only participate in a match against Hogan unless it makes sense. At this it’s much too far away to predict what will happen, but it does appear from recent reports from Jim Ross that Austin will at some point return to a WWE ring, but against who is still up in the air.
WWE officials are hoping for a big number from RAW on it’s debut with USA Networks. This is partly because of the return of Triple H, who by all indications will return to feud with Ric Flair and appearances by Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin. As one source reports, if the rating is not above a 4.0 then WWE will be very disappointed.
