More Inside Details On The Steve Austin Falling Out

Partial Source: PWTorch.com

Since the very beginning of the Jim Ross storyline, Steve Austin had expressed disapproval to those close to him. Nonetheless, since he was no longer at the pinnacle of the WWE political hierarchy, he did not issue any sort of open complaint to WWE management.

When the Jim Ross situation began to take a turn towards the “worked storyline” direction, many assumed that it was only a matter of time before he came back. However, that is not said to have ever been the case. Even though fan pressure was strong, Vince McMahon was committed to his decision to remove Ross from the booth and did not want to give in. Regardless of the angle chosen for Taboo Tuesday, Ross would not return to the RAW commentary booth.

This reality sunk in with Steve Austin over the weekend, when it became clear that WWE’s plan – to have Mark Henry assist Coach in defeating Austin – was not making Jim Ross’ return a priority. He finally blew up over the issue and is consequently not involved in the match at Taboo Tuesday.

The real story here will be how this situation affects a potential Hogan vs. Austin match. Austin was hardly sold on the idea before this little falling out, so one must assume it will be extremely tough to convince him to work the show.
