Candice Michelle Speaks On Posing Nude For Playboy

From WWE.com:

Whether it’s on Monday Night RAW or her commercials for GoDaddy.com, RAW Diva Candice Michelle has proven to be too hot for television. Next spring, she will be bringing the heat to the pages of Playboy magazine. Candice will be the next WWE Diva to pose for the publication, and her pictorial is scheduled for the April 2006 issue. WWE.com recently caught up with the red-hot Diva to talk about Playboy, her “wardrobe malfunction” on RAW, and where else the fans can catch a glimpse of Candice Michelle.

WWE.com: How did the opportunity come about for you to pose in Playboy?

Candice: Johnny (Laurinaitis, WWE VP of Talent Relations) approached me and said that Playboy was interested in me, and asked if I wanted to pose for them. I was more than happy to do it; this has actually been a dream of mine since before I came to WWE. It’s an honor to pose for them, and I can’t wait.

WWE.com: Both Torrie Wilson and Christy Hemme are former Playboy cover girls, and their pictorials were huge successes. Have you talked to them about their experiences?

Candice: There’s always certain little question on how things work, and you want to get a heads up on how stuff like hair and make-up works. Both of them had a great time doing it, and they’re very excited. I’m very excited as well. WWE.com: Rumors swirled on the Internet for a couple months about you being the next Diva to pose for Playboy. How long was it in the works, and what took so long for it to come to fruition?

Candice: It’s been in the works for a few months. It just takes time to go through all the proper channels, asking if I want to do it, and finalizing everything with Playboy. You then have to go through all the contract negotiations and details, which we finally just got through, and now it’s official!

WWE.com: Are you nervous at all?

Candice: No, I’m actually really excited. Like I said, this was a dream of mine. I think it will be a great shoot, and we’re going to knock ’em dead.

WWE.com: What can the fans expect to see with your Playboy shoot?

Candice: We’re ironing out the details right now, I don’t want to give away too much of the mystery. All I can say is this will be the hottest Playboy that WWE has ever put out, and I will make sure of that.

WWE.com: In your first commercial for GoDaddy.com, you lampooned Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl. Last week on RAW, you seemed to have a little trouble of your own. What exactly happened there?

Candice: I never really planned for a “wardrobe malfunction”, but you know, when you get in the ring in wrestle, especially in lingerie or next to nothing, almost anything can happen. As long as everybody enjoyed it, then I think my job was done well. You just have to go with the flow, and if it put a smile on someone’s face, then that’s a good thing. Maybe they can say it was a little taste of what’s to come!

WWE.com: That moment spurred an article about the best and worst “ass moments” in WWE history. What are your thoughts on that article?

Candice: I saw the article on WWE.com, and I thought it was really funny. I’m just happy they thought I had a great ass instead of one of the worst!

WWE.com: Speaking of GoDaddy.com, can you give the fans a little behind-the-scenes dirt on your new commercial?

Candice: It was an awesome shoot, and I actually came up with the concept. It was a cross between Jessica Simpson’s video and Paris Hilton’s Carl’s Jr. commercial. It was a great location out in California, and it had a great vibe about it. Working for Go Daddy is awesome; they always treat me really well. I think it came out great. Originally, they were going to show a full unedited version of it on Go Daddy.com, but they said it was too hot for their site. I guess I’m just too hot for everything! I think it was great that WWE was able to get Go Daddy to release that footage to them so that the fans can see all the work that went into it.

WWE.com: You also recently stopped traffic in New York City, walking through the streets in lingerie. Can you give the fans a little inside dirt on that?

Candice: Well, I don’t want to give too much away, but it’s going to be hot. I like to be right on the edge, the fine line between being good and bad. I think it makes for great viewing for the fans. This magazine will be one of the hottest that WWE has put out. Everybody looked really great, and it’s going to be hot.

WWE.com: Is there anything else you’d like to say to the fans?

Candice: Well, I’ve been told I’m too hot for network TV and too hot for GoDaddy.com, so the next place to go is Playboy. I promise I’ll give them the hottest Playboy issue they’ve ever seen, and I won’t let them down.
