Jim Ross has been in great spirits following his removal from WWE RAW, with sources saying that the announcer has come to peace with the fact that he might never again broadcast a wrestling event.
“He knows he went out on top, he knows that he is respected by fans and wrestlers, and he knows that nobody believes he deserved to lose that spot,” one source said. “He’s also financially set.”
In fact, he has been so positive that he actually had a pleasant telephone conversation with Jonathan Coachman. Ross’ immediate replacement in the play-by-play position called the Oklahoman for help upon taking over the role, and “Good ol’ JR” was quick to provide necessary help and encouragement.
There is some speculation that Jim Ross might be in line to replace Paul Heyman in Ohio Valley Wrestling, should the former ECW head honcho not re-sign with WWE.
