According to recent reports, one branch of WWE management was not made aware of Brock Lesnar wrestling in Japan in October. However, those in the WWE’s talent relations department (Johnny Ace, Tommy Dreamer) were aware of his appearance as well as WWE’s lawyers. Those lawyers were actually negotiating with Lesnar before he appeared at the New Japan event at the Tokyo Dome. It is also being said that Vince McMahon was tipped off about Lesnar appearing for New Japan and that caused the company to play hardball in attempts to stop him from appearing ever again. Those attempts failed as Lesnar still wrestled for New Japan last weekend.
