OVW Champion Matt Cappotelli has a brain tumor.
The tumor was discovered after Cappotelli was taken to the hospital following the OVW TV tapings on Wednesday night as a result of receiving a stiff shot to the head. It was revealed by a CATSCAN that he had some sort of tumor. He will be undergoing a series of tests in Cincinnati to determine whether the tumor is malignant or not.
Mike Johnson reported yesterday that Cappotelli had been scheduled to begin shooting WWE vignettes for a planned debut this week.
Cappotelli, along with John Hennigan (now known as Johnny Nitro of MNM), were awarded WWE contracts in 2003 for winning the Tough Enough competition. Cappotelli has suffered numerous injuries during the past two years including multiple concussions, a broken fibula, and blowing out his knee.
