Matches being advertised for the 3/18 Saturday Night’s Main Event tapings include Kurt Angle v. The Undertaker and John Cena v. Edge with special referee Triple H. Tickets for the event go on sale Saturday 2/11 at 10am at the Cobo box office and all ticketmaster outlets and online at ticketmaster.com.
Rumored matches for Wrestlemania include Henry v. Undertaker, Triple H v. John Cena, Orton v. Angle, and HBK vs. Vince McMahon (or Shane McMahon).
A visitor was watching Sportscenter late last night on ESPN when they showed the “Shaq Attack” clip of Shaq hitting Carlito with a chair, followed by some horrible acting from O’neal. After the clip the anchors noted, “That’s WWE providing the footage. No charges against Shaq. You know, I don’t think that’s fake at all. It’s just as real as the monsters under my bed.”
WWE.com has a survey up on their website after receiving a record amount of page views during this month of January. In the survey, it basically asks you questions on WWE Unlimited and other media-related videos/photos.
Basically the only reason Edge won the match via disqualification against John Cena last night on RAW was to continue the storyline for a few more weeks. It is still expected that John Cena will defend the WWE Championship against Triple H at WrestleMania 22 in Chicago unless plans change otherwise.
For those of you in the US, two commercials aired for the Westminster Kennel Dog Show on USA Network last night. In two weeks time, RAW will be preempted because of the show and will instead air three nights later at 9PM Eastern Time on Thursday, February 16th.
Today in WWE history, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero debut on RAW.
