A tournament will begin this Monday on RAW to determine Cena’s opponent at WrestleMania 22 (assuming he still has the title). Here are the matchups:
– RVD vs. Carlito
– Chris Masters vs. Kane
– Ric Flair vs. HHH
– Shawn Michaels vs. Big Show
This week’s edition of SmackDown! scored a 2.7 rating. This is not good news considering the show was getting ratings in the 3s a few weeks ago. The bad news is also compounded by the fact that it’s February sweeps, which means WWE/UPN won’t be able to command as much money for commercials.
There’s an article in today’s San Fransisco Chronicle discussing the upcoming StrikeForce MMA event in San Jose. California recently approved mixed martial arts in the state, and this is the first major show since the sanction. Daniel Puder, a former WWE Tough Enough winner, will be fighting at this event.
