PWInsider is reporting that prior to running the storyline in which Rey Mysterio dedicated his Royal Rumble performance to Eddie Guerrero, WWE approached the late wrestler’s family members about the plan.
WWE also told the Guerrero family that it was going to have the heels talk badly about Eddie; Rey would then come to Eddie’s defense.
While it is not believed that the Guerrero family was enthused about the idea, there is no indication that they were extremely upset either.
