As noted, WWE announced yesterday through their new cellular phone programming that Shannon Moore had signed a new deal with the company. Whether he signed or not all depends on who you ask. Moore apparently verbally agreed to terms with WWE on Monday, but declined to comment when contacted by by TNAWrestlingNews.com. Moore made what is believed to be his final appearance for TNA at the iMPACT! tapings Tuesday night that will air this Saturday night on Spike TV. He had reportedly been waiting on TNA to restructure a contract so he could earn more money all while speaking with WWE. TNA was aware of the WWE offer and Moore made it clear he intended on signing it this week. Before TNA could finish the paperwork, WWE made a higher offer than TNA so he took that deal instead. What might make things interesting for Moore is that TNA recently trademarked the “Prince of Punk” moniker as they expected him to stay with the company. Says one TNA veteran about Moore leaving TNA for WWE, “He’ll be promised the world, just like Matt Hardy was, just to get him to sign. Then he’ll be as frustrated as he was last time and be miserable there like everyone else.”
For those wondering, Scott Steiner has not signed a long-term deal with TNA. Steiner did work the iMPACT! tapings last night in Orlando.
