On tonight’s edition of “Raw,” Shelton Benjamin pinned Rob Van Dam at almost the exact same time Triple H had John Cena pinned, but the referee counted the fall for Benjamin, thus he is once again the Intercontinental champion. Vince McMahon had previously come out to changed the scheduled Cena-HHH title match to include RVD and Benjamin in a tornado match where both the WWE and IC titles were on the line.
As noted last week, the new blonde on RAW is WWE developmental diva Beth Phoenix.
Terry Funk also returned on RAW to further Mick Foley’s heel turn. He was attacked by Foley and Edge. Dreamer is expected to be back next week to set up Foley and Edge vs. Dreamer and Funk at ECW One Night Stand 2.
