IPW:UK vs. The FWA, March 25th – The Losing Promotion Closes!



A Pro Wrestling Event With National Ramifications To Take Place At The Orpington Halls, Orpington, Kent, on Sunday March 25th!

On Sunday March 25th, two rival pro-wrestling factions and their active rosters will collide in a six-match card with it all the play for ��” the losing faction must STOP running shows forever, and sign over all active assets to the winners. The two groups involved are IPW:UK (International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom) and the FWA (Frontier Wrestling Alliance).

IPW:UK formed in September of 2004, and have been running monthly or bi-monthly shows at the Orpington Halls ever since. Foraying into other areas such as Essex, elsewhere in Kent, Hertfordshire and Hampshire, they have been awarded many accolades for best group and best match of the year by several fans and critics alike. Using a top blend of both British and international wrestlers, fans are always treated to multiple â~main eventâ matches on each and every card. Owned by Daniel Edler, top wrestling names include current champion Andy Boy Simmonz (http://www.ipwuk.com/roster/teams/hatedheroes.shtml), as well as long-term sidekick Aviv Maayan, and long-term rival Martin Stone (http://www.ipwuk.com/roster/teams/theuntouchables.shtml). IPW:UK held a 12-week television slot on Sky channel 427 (The Wrestling Channel, now TWC Fight) at the back end of 2006, and are scheduled to return to air in middle 2007.

The FWA are formerly Europeâs most popular promotion. Formed in 1999, they have promoted successful shows with crowds up to 1500 people in the likes of Coventryâs âSkyDomeâ, and Londonâs âYork Hallâ. Never having run a wrestling event in Kent before, this is their first time at the Orpington Halls alongside IPW:UK. Owned by wrestling journalist Greg Lambert who leads the line from the front, with top stars such as former champion Hade Vansen, currently injured â~Showstealerâ Alex Shane, and All-England champion âThe Insane Icon❠Iceman.

The event takes place at the Orpington Halls, Orpington High Street, Orpington, Kent, BR6 0NN, on Sunday March 25th 2007. Tickets can be obtained by calling 07780 677007, or by heading over to http://www.ipwuk.com. Ticket costs range from £8 for children through to £40 for a family of four. Ringside seats are now sold out, and other tickets are also flying out the door. Doors open at 5pm in the afternoon, show starts at 5.30 and the event will be finished by 8:30-9:00pm.
