RAW Spoiled Early Last Night, WM23 Set News, More

The official ECW.com preview for tonight’s ECW on Sci Fi spoiled the main event of last night’s live RAW before the match had even concluded by posting the following: ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Umaga at WrestleMania, and was responsible for the egomaniacal Chairman Mr. McMahon leaving Ford Field a bald billionaire after the Battle of the Billionaires Match. One night later on Raw, Lashley once again defeated Umaga, this time in a Handicap Match also featuring Armando Estrada. What new challenges await the dominant ECW Champion?

WWE had been working on the WrestleMania set since October. The set’s designed was finalized in February. A RAW set usually takes about 100 workers and 14 hours to put up. The Mania set needed 300 workers and it took a week to put it up.

In case you missed it on RAW last night, WWE is going “Back to the Future” on tonight’s ECW on Sci show by doing, and you haven’t seen this one before, The New Breed vs. The ECW Originals. Tonight’s match has a twist as it will be contested under “Extreme Rules”.

For those who asked about why WWE moved from TSN to The Score, which said it would never preempt RAW when they signed and now did, only to get preempted well, TSN really wasn’t overly interested in renewing Raw and wanted to get away from having wrestling on their sports network. So, The Score was basically their best and only option.
