More Off Air Notes From RAW Last Night, More

Thanks to Jeff Jones for the following:

As mentioned the crowd in Hampton was hot all night. We had the usual segments during the commercials: Kiss Cam, Trivia, T-Shirts, etc. Carlito ran down Virginia as “Flair Country” (former Mid-Atlantic territory) and said he would make it “Carlito Country.” Kind of a surprise to see Val on Raw, not surprised that he did the job, but he usually resides on Heat or dark matches.

To add to the Heat report, Cryme Tyme/Hacksaw won when CT hit their double team finisher. Viscera beat Eugene with his version of Abyss’ Black Hole Slam. The guys who lost to The Highlanders were announced but the crowd was so loud that I didn’t hear their names clearly. Some people in the crowd seemed confused about the existence of Heat, guess they thought the matches were part of Raw at first.

Most Cheered:

1. HBK

2. Flair

3. Hardys/Cena

Most Booed:

1. Vince & Co.

2. Edge

3. Masters/Carlito

Dark Match Main Event:

After the camera stopped rolling with Orton/HBK, we were “treated” to what was announced (on TV the week before) as a Fatal 4-Way WWE Championship match. Note that Justin Roberts never announced this to the crowd. Cena ran down shortly after Orton laid out HBK and did his patented “5 Moves of Doom,” then he went for the FU on Orton, but then Edge crawled back in and tried to spear Cena but he moved and Edge hit Orton. Then Cena FUed Edge for the 1-2-3. HBK was supposed to be a part of this match but he was down on the floor the whole time apparently selling his storyline concussion and/or his apparent knee/leg injury that he had been selling during the whole match with Edge. Really surprised that the crowd didn’t do “Na-na-na” for Edge since they seemed to hate him. Also about 1/3rd of the crowd left before the dark match, but those were left popped pretty loud for Cena.
