Canucks Barred From WWE Contest; Steph’s Rampage

WWE is holding a contest for their biggest fan at Ziddio.com in which you can submit a video and say why you’re the biggest WWE fan. 15 finalists get to attend some sort of red carpet event in New York City a day or two before SummerSlam in which they can mingle with WWE stars and Hall of Famers. They also get tickets to SummerSlam and their video gets put up on WWE 24/7 for the month of September. The grand prize winner gets $25,000. However, one thing that seems to be getting overlooked is that you need to be a resident of the United States in order to enter the contest. People outside of the U.S. are prohibited from entering, including people from Canada. The rules regarding this state:

CONTEST IS INTENDED FOR VIEWING AND PLAY IN THE 50 UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ONLY AND SHALL ONLY BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW. DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST IF YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE 50 UNITED STATES OR DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.

Stephanie McMahon has been on a firing rampage since taking over as Head of Talent Relations, however specific reasons for the cuts haven’t come out. Most of the individuals released were people who she felt had no future in the company or, as she stated when firing Rob Conway, were “jobbers for life.”

On a recent radio show, Ole Anderson said he was offered $1,500 to appear on the Horseman DVD. He asked if Vince McMahon would be signing the check, and when he was told yes he turned it down. He said that in 1984, Vince told him he’d never work for the company again, and so he didn’t want Vince to have to go back on his word and be a liar.
