Rep. Cliff Stearns (R – Florida) is motivated to hold congressional hearings on deaths in pro wrestling and is currently pushing colleagues in Congress to join the cause. Stearns said the following to The Baltimore Sun regarding the matter: “At this time, I do not believe that the new House majority sees steroid use as a serious issue. I urge Chairman [Bobby] Rush of the Commerce, Trade & Consumer Protection Subcommittee to hold a hearing to determine the prevalence of steroid use in professional wrestling and the means of ending their use.”

WWE Auction is auctioning a Survivor Series 2005 poster signed by Randy Orton. On the poster, Chris Benoit’s face has been blurred out. In addition to that, there are pics of two people no longer in the company, Chris Jericho (who hasn’t made up his mind yet on whether he’s going to TNA, Ring of Honor, or back to WWE) and Kurt Angle (the current TNA Champion).
“WWE Presents: WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony 2007” debuts on pay-per-view on 9/3. The PPV running time is listed as 2 hours and 28 minutes.
WWE Films’ biggest flop ‘The Condemned’ featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 18th. No information as far as extras go has been released yet although the Blu-Ray version will carry a 7.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack and obviously a killer picture for HDTV. Retail regular price is $28.98 for the normal DVD and $39.99 for the Blu-Ray disc but online shops will sell them for cheaper than that price. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)
