WWE has announced that the sold out non-televised RAW live event at the Honda Center/Arrowhead Pond this past Saturday in Anaheim, CA., drew a paid attendance record for the company at that venue, beating the old record which was for a live event on Saturday, May 1, 1999. This was also the highest grossing non-televised WWE show ever held in the venue. WWE currently holds the largest attendance of the year so far at the same arena behind the Anaheim Ducks events. WWE’s Great American Bash drew a sellout of 13,851 fans (about 12,500 paid) for about a $700,000 gate at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA.
The idea to put the cruiserweight title on Hornswoggle has been talked about since the Judgment Day PPV. At one time, Hornswoggle winning the title would have signified the end of the title (with the idea of the title being brought back with a new name next year).
