Lots Of News: 2 Corrections, Umaga, HHH, Batista

To follow up on a report that was posted here yesterday, when WWE goes to the UK in October, the Raw taping will be taking place on October 15 in Birmingham, England and not at the Wembley Arena in London.

Chris Dunshee sent this in: In regards to Bobby Strouss’ “news story” from yesterday, Tazz’s commentary in SVR 2008 is not intended as a jab on TNA. “Tazz is gonna kill you” was a common crowd chant in the original ECW. You can hear this chant during Tazz’s match with Shane Douglas on the “Bloodsport: ECW’s Most Violent Matches” DVD.

The section for the No Mercy PPV is now open at wwe.com/shows/nomercy/ featuring the only matches announced so far including Cena vs. Orton, Batista vs. Khali and Triple H vs. Umaga.

The Miz has a blog up at ECW.com where he was involved in the big MTV Video Music Awards weekend a few weeks ago. Yes, it’s a slow news day.

David Robertson sent this in: Looking through wikipedia today and noticed that Armageddon this December is set to take place Dec. 16 in Pittsburgh, PA at the Mellon Arena.

B. Wilson sent this in: Today a friend of mine told me that at his local Blockbuster video they only had 2 copies of the Condemned to rent. Now I don’t know what it’s like every where else, but 2 copies isn’t very good at all, not when most new movies have anywhere from 10-100 copies. The Condemned could turn into a DVD flop.
