Big Afternoon Update: Big Daddy V, Rock, Umaga, Orton

WWE just released the 500th Anniversary Issue of WWE Magazine. The magazine features a small image of the layout of the “30 Sickest Finishers” feature that was published in the magazine at the start of the year. In the layout in the new magazine, they whited out the originally published image of Chris Benoit performing his “Crippler Crossface” maneuver. They also removed the printing of his name from the caption below the image. The magazine was originally scheduled to be released in the middle of July, but the issue had to be delayed because the Benoit double murder-suicide took place just before the issue was set to go to the printers. The magazine featured a number of Benoit mentions that had to be removed before the magazine could be published.

Big Daddy V ranks in at #6 in this week’s edition of the “POWER 25” on WWE.com — his highest ranking ever. He’s a spot ahead of The Undertaker, who ranks in at #7.

The Rock’s movie The Game Plan is estimated at doing $8.1 million for the weekend, putting it in third place behind 30 Days of Night and Why Did I Get Married?. The movie is expected to break $70 million by Tuesday.

While full details are not immediately available, we have been told that Kristal Marshall was released by WWE at least partly due to the large amount of complaints about her work. According to one person I talked too, Kristal had rubbed several people the wrong way and was largely unpopular amongst other talent.

Advance local advertisements are promoting Randy Orton and Umaga facing Triple H and Shawn Michaels at next Mondayâ<80><99>s RAW in Philadelphia, PA on October 29, 2007. It is assumed that this match will take place as a â<80><9c>darkâ<80> main event, however, anything is possible.

Teddy Hart no-showed an independent booking over the weekend in Calgary for the PWA promotion. The promoter says he was told Teddy had a ‘no compete’ clause.
