There will be a future episode of “Family Feud” featuring WWE superstars, which was taped in August. The format of the show is men vs. women, and will include MVP, Booker T, Batista, Cena, Mr. Kennedy against Candice Michelle, Layla, Maria, Michelle McCool and Sharmell.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution has a new article talking about the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission possibly overseeing pro wrestling in that state. Commission board member Cary Ichter said: “I’m going to make sure we have a way to protect folks in Georgia from the shenanigans of the WWE.” WWE is currently exempt from from being regulated in Georgia due to a rule that prevents organizations with assets over $25 million from being exempt. Ichter is looking to close that loophole in Georgia law. WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt commented on Ichter’s actions saying, “Gee, surprise, surprise. Wonder why he’s doing that?”

California’s State Athletic Commission is getting ready to start taxing professional wrestling. Bill Douglas of the CSAC is currently organizing a meeting of wrestling promoters in the Southern California area to discuss “where we have been, where we are now, and where we are going with this.” He said right now professional wrestling in CA was unregulated and would continue to be so, but they were keeping an eye on Congressional hearings and that if regulation in the state actually happens, “look forward to California testing wrestlers across the board the way we do for boxing, kickboxing, and MMA which means testing for anabolic agents, masking agents, diuretics, and drugs of abuse”. Reports say they’re going to take 5% of all event gates or $500 upfront, effective immediately.
