As noted earlier, Matt Hardy suffered a 7 inch gash that required 35 stitches in a tag match where he teamed with MVP against Finlay and Rey Mysterio at the Friday Night Smackdown taping in Kansas City. According to reports, Mysterio’s knee brace caught Hardy in the head and he was described as bleeding everywhere – so much so that they had to change the mat because it was covered with so much blood. His status for Cyber Sunday this weekend against MVP is said to be uncertain where fans can vote the two to compete in a wrestling match, boxing match or MMA match.
Jason & Jerry sent us word that local advertisement for Monday Night Raw next week in Philadelphia, PA has Randy Orton & Umaga vs. Triple H & Shawn Michaels.
herbforsythe sent this in: Bret Hart was at Chapters in Toronto on Monday signing copies of his new book. I went down and got an autograph and some pictures. Bret came across as a very friendly guy. This was my first chance to meet him and I am very happy to have had the chance to shake the hand of this true wrestling legend.
Adam Lebow of www.thershl.com sent this in: The Fan 590 in Toronto, the radio home for Prime Time Sports, has posted the full hour conversation that was had Tuesday (actually about an hour and 15 minutes ago) with Bret Hart. The podcast, which aside from Bob McCown also is with this weeks co-host Stephen Brunt (of the Globe and Mail newspaper) and Gordern Kirke (Bret Hart’s former agent and “legal council to the stars”) is available at Fan590.com. It is a rather interesting listen, something that really stimulates interest in the book.
Adam Lebow also sent this in: On SportsCenter, they were running in show advertisments during the 2am edition (which will replay on the morning loop) that Bret Hart will be on TSN Off the Record on Wednesday, at 6pm ET. Jay Onrait, a SportsCenter anchor will be hosting the episode, as Michael Landsberg is on vacation. (Ironically, Onrait is the second temp host for OTR, the only other host has been Chris Jericho).
Devin Cutting sent this in: Sci-Fi will not be airing ECW on Tuesday, December 4th due to a mini-series marathon. ECW will air Thursday, December 6th at 10 PM, head-to-head with the second hour of TNA Impact. Reminder: Sci-Fi is also pre-empting ECW on Christmas Day & ECW won’t air at all that week.
