TNA Impact Review 11/15/2007

Shhhhhhh. Donâ<80><99>t mention Booker T. or Sharmellâ<80><99>s name until they sign the contract. TNA could get in a lot of trouble. Yeah right! After this gag order was put into play by Jim Cornette, Kurt Angle came down to the ring with wife Karen, followed by Tomko and A J Styles. Enter the Angle Alliance. I guess all good things eventually come to an end and I will have to adjust to TNA without the Christian Coalition. I didnâ<80><99>t realize Kevin Nash had so many friends. Looks as if Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, and Alex Shelley donâ<80><99>t forget who helped them become who they are. I know itâ<80><99>s probably a rental, but Christian pulled up in a sweet ride. It didnâ<80><99>t take a genius to figure out who was on the phone with Nash.
The first match of the night saw Jimmy Rave and Lance Hoyt take on the former Tag Team Champions, LAX. I always thought Lance Hoyt had potential, but he continues not to get over with the fans. Hernandez went aerial again and continues to impress. I am really not sure why TNA would rather push Hoyt/Rave instead of Homicide/Hernandez.
You have to love the heat that Team 3D generates. Anybody that demands cases of ding dongs for their ransom is good in my book. Holding the X-Division Belt and the pure hatred for the X-Division itself is turning out to be a pretty decent angle. Man, Devon is huge!!! Is it just me or does Brother Ray laid on the New York accent thick when he gets on the mic?
The second match had Robert Roode teaming up with Ms. Brooks against â<80><9c>The Wildcatâ<80> Chris Harris and Womenâ<80><99>s Champion Gail Kim. The problems between Ms. Brooks and Roode have been building up for a long while now and it was about time that it reached its climax. Ms. Brooks went nuts on both Roode and that familiar lady in the front row who wants to be hired on as the new assistant. Itâ<80><99>s high time to find out who this woman is and where she came from. Letâ<80><99>s face it, Roode is lucky to have either of these bombshells in his corner. I hate to keep picking on Chris Harris, but he was better off as being part of Americas Most Wanted. I am just not buying him as a singles wrestler. On the other hand, Robert Roode is not the best heel in TNA.
Scott Hall is back! Does anyone notice how stressful Jim Cornette is all the time and how red his face gets with sweat pouring down his face just about every night? This guy needs a vacation or at least a chill pill. The audience in the arena played a huge part of the show when Team 3D came out and they started chanting â<80><9c>That was Awesome.â<80> I hope Havok realizes the big push he is getting by teaming up with Team 3D as the X-Division traitor! What happened to Raven?
Abyss, Judas Mesias, Black Reign, and now Rellik? (Sorry, I canâ<80><99>t type the k backwards) Too many monsters in TNA! Nash and Hall (The Outsiders) are back. I still pop for these two guys and so did the fans in the arena. They chanted â<80><9c>You still got it!â<80> TNA fans really earn my respect every week. I am sure it made Hall and Nash feel good.
TNAâ<80><99>s darkest match of the night included Abyss vs. Black Reign vs. Rellik (Killer backwards, thanks Mike Tenay). Itâ<80><99>s Halloween all over again, but I have to admit, I love the gimmicks. Rellik looks like that creature from Jeepers Creepers. Poor Abyss, he always seems to draw the double teams, but Rhino had his back tonight. Iâ<80><99>d take this War Machine over any monster in professional wrestling. It was good to see Rhino on the show. If I see Kurt Angle anymore on the show tonight, I might just puke. Hey guys, too much of a good thing could lead to trouble. Know what I mean?
The shortest match of the evening was Awesome Kong vs. Alexa Jade. Poor poor Alexa.
Gail Kim is on borrowed time. Kongâ<80><99>s power bomb might just be better than Batista. Booker and Sharmell seem very happy to be in TNA. You can see it in their smiles. â<80><9c>Thank you Bookerâ<80> chants filled the arena. It just shows you how important those fans of TNA are to every Impact show. Christian vs. Booker T is money This could be a historic feud. Letâ<80><99>s hope it delivers. Something tells me that Booker isnâ<80><99>t going to get the last laugh.
Best Match of the Night: Kaz vs. Kurt Angle was definitely the highlight of the night. What did Kaz do right to get this kind of opportunity. Just the other day, he was Ravenâ<80><99>s disciple. TNA did a really good job of building up this main event for Impact even though it wasnâ<80><99>t a PPV match. I found myself cheering for Kaz. He hung with Angle throughout the match, but came up short. Looks like Samoa Joe is back in Angleâ<80><99>s life again. Should be a decent PPV in December. Overall, I give the show a B+ There was definitely a lot of action, but a little too much Kurt Angle.
