From Mike Informer: AOL Unveils Top Searches for 2007 – For the second straight year, weather was the most popular general term on AOL Search, while WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, the Apple iPhone and Britney Spears appeared at the top of the News, Gadget and Celebrity search lists. American Idol showed no signs of slipping from the top of the most-searched TV shows list; and Hillary Clinton emerged as the front-runner on the Top Politicians list. The unique combination of online viral videos and editorial commentary from Top Gossip Blogs like TMZ created a breed of celebrities whose accidental online celebrity led to offline fame. Topping this yearâ<80><99>s inaugural most-searched for â<80><9c>Accidental Celebrityâ<80> list is socialite-turned-reality-TV-star, Kim Kardashian.

The recently released Brooke Adams from Extreme Expose stated on her MySpace page that she would be posing for Playboy, and would end up in TNA.

Smackdown diva Maryse is now managing Ted DiBiase Jr. in Flordia Championship Wrestling.

WWE has announced today that it will be launching a new pilot program with the help of select cable operators to honor the WWE Community Champion which will consist of a contest for young people making positive contributions in their own communities and the winners will win a trip to WrestleMania 24 in Orlando. Select cable operators from Comcast and Charter will promote the contest, accepting nominations in their local communities for US residents between the ages of 10 and 17 who have made a significant difference in their town. At the end of February three national winners – one from each system – will be chosen. Each winner, along with a parent or legal guardian, will be flown to Orlando to attend WrestleMania 24 and will be individually honored at WWE’s annual ‘Bacon, Bagels and Biceps Brunch.’

A new WWE DVD was released today titled ‘The Triumph and Tragedy of World Class Championship Wrestling’. This is a two disc set DVD with a total running time of 360 minutes and features a collection of the greatest matches in WCCW history. For the old-timers, there are the Von Erichs feuding with the Freebirds, Bruiser Brody, Ric Flair, Jerry Lawler, Abdullah the Butcher and many more. (Thanks to Colin Vassallo)
