‘Mania 2010 Confirmation, Royal Rumble Match Confirmed

The Wrestlemania 2010 hockey jersey that Wayne Gretzky was wearing was not officially made by WWE, but rather it is just another piece of the ongoing campaign to get WM 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona. If the show is held in the city, it will likely be at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, which will be hosting the Super Bowl this year. Gretzky is obviously pulling for the event to come to Phoenix, since it is the home of his team the Phoenix Coyotes.

The shock jock, Bubba The Love Sponge has just launched a brand new morning show available free on the web through the Showdown Network at www.Showdown.net. Bubba is best known to wrestling fans as the best friend of Hulk Hogan and as the Howard Stern Sirius channel’s afternoon fixture. While Bubba will continue to broadcast his afternoon Sirius show, his new morning broadcast show will be live weekdays syndicated out of ROCK105 in Jacksonville with a live stream available on the Showdown.net and AudioWrestling.com websites. Howard Stern is upset that Bubba has launched a new show because Howard wanted to keep Bubba exclusive to Sirius listeners, however Bubba stated on his new show that Sirius was not willing to pay enough money to keep his programming exclusive to Sirius. Bubba will broadcast his new show weekdays from 6AM ET-10AM ET and then continue to do a separate live show on Sirius in the afternoons. Despite his displeasure, Howard Stern was a guest on Bubba’s show Tuesday morning to wish the fellow shock-jock good luck. It is widely expected that Hulk Hogan will continue to be a regular fixture on Bubba’s new show.

WWE.com is advertising a Royal Rumble qualifying match for this Friday’s house show in Jacksonville, Florida. DH Smith and Drew McIntyre will wrestle against Carlito and Santino Marella. The winning team will be entered.
