Andrew â<80><9c>Testâ<80> Martin recently responded the rumors that Ron Killings had signed a contract from WWE that included an $80,000 one-year downside guarantee in a recent blog post on his MySpace.com page. While Martin does not name Killings specifically, it is believed that is who is referring too.

I did happen to cross a post on an internet site where a wrestler who out of respect will be unamed signed for a downside of 80000 dollars and that was considered way more than a developmental deal, Don’t get me wrong 80gs is good money but remember we pay our own food, rental car and hotel and 95% of the guys fly coach. Just to give you an example my road expenses were about 65 to 70 grand a year and then add in taxes. My first developmental deal in 98 was 85grand and that was a developmental deal. I heard a statistic on CNN explaining that owning the WWE was comparible to owning the NEW YORk RANGERS, the EDMONTON OILERS and one other hockey team. Do you really think any of those players make less than 50 grand a year? or do the damage to their bodies the way we do? I think not. Imagine getting drafted by the Rangers and being told your getting paid 80grand but you have to pay for your own food, car and hotel and oh yeah, and you don’t have a unioun or any retirement fund. Thank god I got into the business when I did, I was lucky and was pretty smart with my money! All I can say is save all you can because in this business EVERYONE is expedible. This business was good to me and I have no hard feelings, I just hope everyone realizes it doesn’t last forever and always have a plan B. Thank god my plan B is working out just find Take care Andrew
