HOF Rating Draws Huge Rating, ‘Mania Injuries?, NY Giant To WWE

For those that have asked, there were no major injuries at WrestleMania on Sunday.

Saturday’s WWE Hall of Fame airing on USA did a strong 2.1 cable rating. For the 11PM timeslot, 2.1 is a big number. The replay that aired at 2:15 AM did a 0.7 cable rating.

The Wrestling Observer also reports that Ryan Bishop, a former New York Giants tight end, has signed a developmental deal and is learning at FCW. Bishop is 27 years old, 6 foot 6 and weighs 255 pounds.

According to Dave Melzer of the the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, It was a year ago when Steve Austin came up with the blueprint of his retirement run, but even before that, the Hall of Fame Saturday and retirement Sunday had been the plan. The original idea was having a big retirement tour for months leading into it with his farewell match in every major city.

Apparently the reason WWE shifted the three hour RAW from 4/7 to 4/21 was to avoid going head to head with the finals of the NCAA basketball tournament.
