Samoa Joe is signed to a long term deal with TNA. There was a recent issue with the copyright and trademark over the Samoa Joe name though. Joe bought the rights to the name himself, but TNA wanted to have ownership of the name. So while this led to discussions about how to handle the situation, there was never a fear that Joe would leave. The two sides have reached an agreement, with Joe retaining ownership of the name. Joe has been using the Samoa Joe name since before he came to TNA.
The new announcer, Lauren, was hired because SpikeTV wanted more women working backstage segments during iMPACT!.
The location of the Slammiversary PPV should be announced by the end of the week.
