TNA Notes: Kaz Release Update, Scott D’Amore Replacement, More

As most would have probably guessed, the Kaz “release” angle is a work. It seems they will be playing off of his recent losing streak and as we reported here, he will also be appearing on the first edition of “Karen’s Angle” this week on Impact to talk about “leaving the company”. In reality, he banged up his body pretty good in the Ultimate X match last pay per view, so it’s good that he’ll get a little time off for that. All we ask, as does the few people I talked to within the company, is that you please try and suspend your disbelief while this takes place because you’re not supposed to know it’s an angle! I’ll give it to TNA though for the attempt – it got people talking. Hopefully, the talking will lead to interest.

ProWrestling.net reports that creative team member, Dutch Mantell has been traveling on the road lately filling in for Scott D’Amore, who is leaving the company at the end of this month (no, this one’s for real). Mantell worked the house shows this past weekend and is expected to work the upcoming tour as well. Rumors have circulated that Savio Vega is being looked at as a potential new agent, but we haven’t gotten confirmation on that yet.

WrestleZone.com’s own, Glenn Gilbertti, said he was in an uncoming edition of the popular online segment, “Spin Cycle”. I’m not sure if it’s going to be this next one or the following, but I’ll let you know as soon as they post it.

Matt Morgan made his debut on American Gladiators Monday as “The Beast”. I watched the show and he did well beating the two contenders in very quick fashion in the joust competition. They put him over huge lowering him from a cage and everything!
