The Miami Herald has an article on SoCal Val. Val had a lot to say regarding comparisons between her and the late Miss Elizabeth. “I would never compare myself to Miss Elizabeth,” Val said. “I try to always stress the fact that I’m not trying to be the next Miss Elizabeth, because there will never be another Miss Elizabeth, and that’s the way it should be. But I do love the fact that we’re trying to honor her in that way, and I hope that people understand there’s no way any of us could take her place. Still, I do want to honor her legacy and show there can be that kind of classy, emotional, sweet character in wrestling. I’m really honored to be in that spot.” Val also talks about her journey through wrestling, how she ended up in TNA in the first place, her storyline with Jay Lethal, and more.
