I received an e-mail saying that the XWE show in Kingwood, W VA, that originally had Kevin Nash false promoted then replaced by Chris Masters by Damien Lee (Gary Ravenscroft)was “postponed”. I attempted to find out more but at the promotion website www.myspace.com/xwewrestling/ the poster for the event is still up, and the blog offering refunds for the show because Nash was false promoted is no longer there. Hope all the wrestlers found out in time to try to get other bookings…….like that would happen.
Ian Rotten’s wife Patti communicated with David Taylor and promised to send out a certified check to him this week to make up for the bounced check. When he gets that check I will report it. I am aware his was not the only check given as pay to wrestlers for the Ted Petty shows that bounced. Ian, Mickie & IWA MidSouth still owe TNA $2700. I heard from The Blue Meanie (Brian Heffron) that he is still owed money from IWA MidSouth Shows on July 14-15, 2006.
Dennis “Shady” Richardson sent me numerous text messages, all of which attempted to avoid personal responsibility for his failure to pay Angelina Love, ODB & Chris Master, and quite a few other wrestlers. He blaimed them for not waiting until later that morning when he said he would have had the money and bought flights. By 3:30AM they had not been paid. He then blaimed someone who worked the door at his show for stealing money. He also compared himself to Paul Heyman, as another promoter who may owe money but never had to pay it back. He also threatened to sue me for slander.
No info on whether AT Huck who owes Rhino & Roode and Gary Damron who owes Kip James have sent any money, but if they do I will report it. I should have noted that Gary Damron did send $100 as a partial payment to Kip James on 5-11-08 but nothing since. The show was on 10-20-07.
Add to the list Winn*peg promoter Andrew Shallcross of PCW who owes Samoa Joe & Chris Sabin for a show on 9-27-07. He was disapointed with Samoa Joe’s match with Kenny Omega and would not send fees to TNA. He said he would send money directly to Chris Sabin but lied about that and never did. He said he had sent money prior to the show to me, but lied about that and never did.
Several weeks ago we had reports on this site and Dave Meltzer reported in his newsletter about a “rumored” PCW show in Canada where supposedly Virgil defended the TNA Title, and Andrew Shallcross cut a promo on me and Samoa Joe. This likely never happened but if it did “good stuff”.
Dave Meltzer wrote the following in his newsletter about this:
“That claim is that it was a work on Bill Behrens (????) and he fell for it, since Behrens when he found out what happened, apparently exposed Shallcross for not paying TNA for using Joe and Chris Sabin on shows last year. Shallcross, on September 27, 2007, booked Joe and Sabin for matches in Winn*peg. Joe worked with the real Kenny Omega, and Shallcross wanted Omega to go over, but Joe refused, since he didnât have authorization from TNA to put anyone over. There were problems, and it resulted in Joe beating Omega in an 8:00 match. Shallcross then went on the Internet and called Joe unprofessional, said he blew up, wasnât a good worker, lazy, the whole bit even though Omega as noted had no problem with the match. Shallcross had told TNA that the money for both had been paid before the show and they trusted him since they had done business with him in the past.
Behrens said that Shallcross then refused to pay Joe and went on a tirade on the Internet about Joe. According to Behrens, Shallcross, in writing, promised he would pay Sabin, but to this day, still hasnât”
