PWInsider.com is reporting that although Karen Angle’s pics and bio still remain on the TNA website, she is in fact finished with the company. TNA’s latest DVD, “Knocked Out,” features Karen on the cover, and while the DVD continues its media blitz her profile is expected to remain on the company’s website. Once the DVD hype subsides, her info is expected to be taken down.
f4wonline.com is reporting that the TNA Impact video game is continuing its trend of poor sales. The game has not produced nearly as many sales as both TNA and Midway Games has initially hoped. Midway Games lost double what they expected during the third quarter. The company projected losses of $34 million, but now expect to lose $64 million in the quarter. Midway hoped the TNA video game would help save the quarter. Midway canceled two licenses, but spared TNA for the time being. It’s being said that sales for the TNA “iMPACT!” video game have not been good at all and the feeling is that if sales continue to disappoint during the holiday season, there will be no future TNA video game releases from Midway. Midway Games is currently struggling as a company, and the fear is that even if the Impact video game sales increase during the holiday season, the company may still go out of business leaving no possibility for another TNA game to be produced. PCMag.com posted an article with a headline reading “Midway Games Fighting for Its Life,” which you can read at the following link.
