Booker T’s wife and TNA Knockout Sharmell turned 34 today. As of December, she will officially have been in the wrestling business for 10 years, beginning her career in WCW.
Terry Funk recently spoke rather harshly about TNA in an interview with About.com. When asked about their product he said, “they are kind of looked at as the graveyard, you know. I mentioned that to some people and I don’t want to keep on calling them the graveyard because I really don’t want to tag that to them. But it is. It is kind of like the WWE’s graveyard. And, I’m not talking about the guys. Theyâ<80><99>re old, theyâ<80><99>re this or theyâ<80><99>re that or canâ<80><99>t get the job done. They can but it has got a definite pattern to it. Itâ<80><99>s where somebody goes ahead and leaves the WWE and they wind up down there. Boom, just that quick. I think that they need to develop their own talent along with that. Does that make sense to you?” Funk also said, “I’m not knocking the talent that theyâ<80><99>ve got, theyâ<80><99>ve got great talent. But it’s got a constant repetition that is like over, and over, and over. I’m not saying that those guys can’t get the job done, because they can. But they need to work on developing their own talent and their own individuals also. Spend more time on that.” You can read the full interview at this link.
